New senior hire expands BRG’s Global Investigations + Strategic Intelligence team’s footprint in Asia–Pacific region
Global consulting firm Berkeley Research Group (BRG) today announces the appointment of Jeremy Tan as a director in the firm’s Asia–Pacific Global Investigations + Strategic Intelligence (Global.i) practice. Based in BRG’s Singapore office, Tan will lead growth of the practice in Southeast Asia.
Tan joins BRG from a global corporate intelligence firm, where he led the investigations and business intelligence practice in Southeast Asia, particularly in Vietnam, Myanmar and Indonesia. He also has deep experience managing projects in other countries around Asia–Pacific, including China and India.
Earlier in his career, Tan served in the Singapore government’s Prime Minister’s Office, where he was involved in the identification and monitoring of emerging issues of political and strategic importance to Singapore and the wider Asia–Pacific region.
Commenting on the announcement, Stuart Witchell, head of BRG’s Global.i practice in Asia–Pacific and co-leader of BRG’s Asia–Pacific region, said: “Singapore and Southeast Asia are important markets for BRG, and we are delighted to welcome Jeremy to the firm. His long track record of executing sensitive investigations and intelligence-gathering assignments has supported critical decision-making for market entry, mergers and acquisitions, litigation support and business strategy. He adds a significant element of expertise to the practice, and his appointment advances our strategy to grow BRG’s global investigations business across Asia–Pacific”.
Tan’s appointment is part of BRG’s continued expansion plans in Asia–Pacific, including soon-to-be-announced senior hires in the Disputes and International Arbitration practices.
The firm has six offices in the region.
“I am thrilled to join BRG at a time of continued growth in Asia–Pacific and look forward to working closely with BRG’s team to help drive the continued growth of our market-leading investigations and intelligence offerings”, commented Tan. “I am passionate about helping commercial and government organizations maximize opportunities and manage political, operational and regulatory risks in complex environments. Together, we will strive to ensure that the plans of BRG clients are supported with intelligence that is focused and has local relevance”.
