Come and get to know Paul!
1. Before working at Hughes-Castell, what was the most inspiring job you have ever had?
It definitely would be my internship in an NGO providing psychological counseling services for the underprivileged groups in Hong Kong. As a Psychology student, I was grateful to have the opportunity to work with professionals in the Psychology discipline. The most inspiring part of this job was getting involved in the training by suicidal hotline volunteers.
They shared some examples of vulnerable people seeking assistance, ranging from domestic violence victims to businessmen going bankrupt. Such sharing inspired me about the importance of mental hygiene and the power of rapport.
2. How do you prefer to start & end your day?
I prefer to start my day by having cereal breakfast under sunshine and end my day by listening to pop music on the bed. Both can help me to relax and enjoy the beauty of life.
3. What’s one thing you’re learning now, and why is it important?
I am now learning how to improve my health through a more balanced diet. 2020 is undoubtedly an unforgettable year for all of us and hope everyone will stay safe and healthy.
4. What’s your favorite quote/line from a movie?
“Sell me this pen” from The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), which probably is the most meaningful quote for many people in the business sector, including me as a recruitment consultant.
